Jacob + Sarah
We love God + We love People
We believe we are here to serve The Lord by our love and in our obedience (Proverbs 21:3; 1 Samuel 15:22; John 14:15). We so desperately want our closest neighbor and furthest friend to know the love of Jesus Christ, and find their worth in Him (Matthew 10:29-31; Luke 12:6-7). We are willing to stay and go wherever The Spirit leads (Matthew 28:19-20; John 14:26).
Short-Term Teams Coordinator
Sarah studied Philosophy and Psychology at the University of New Mexico. She enjoys spending her time reading philosophy, wandering around the outdoors, and listening to music - and loves doing them all at once. She has recently developed an obsession with fermenting foods: kombucha, ginger beer, and apple cider vinegar. Sarah's passion is counseling. She feels most alive walking alongside others in seeing their worth in Christ, and also engaging in existential discourse.
Sarah’s desire is to use her gifts of insight, encouragement, and resourcefulness to serve the community of Masatepe by bringing local leaders and global partners together to help the oppressed. Her vision is to see short-term efforts benefit long-term strategy for integrated community transformation.

ict champion - beto’s bistro
Jacob studied Intercultural Studies and French at the University of Mobile. He spends most of his spare time rehearsing various accents, studying alternative brew methods, and watching documentaries. The kitchen has a gravitational pull on him, and at this point he thinks it would be "pretty dope" to open up his own restaurant one day. Jacob has never met a stranger without getting their phone number to meet for coffee. His consideration for others and hunger for excellence bring natural enthusiasm for cultivating community transformation through Beto’s Bistro.
Jacob’s desire is to use his enthusiasm to motivate others, reminding them of their empowerment through Christ. He feels most alive while seeing the potential in others, like a fresh pour over, bloom.

We are on a journey.
We work with one collective
We joined One Collective (formerly International Teams) because they work alongside communities - not over them. They do not separate mission and compassion, because Jesus doesn’t.
